Schools of Medical Massage in Ohio and Kentucky

Medical Dynamics, Inc. offers massage therapy training in the state of Ohio (and Kentucky) with /locations in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, Lima, and also in Burlington,KY. We operate as the Cleveland Institute of Medical Massage (located in the Polaris Career Center), the Cincinnati School of Medical Massage. The Dayton School of Medical Massage, the Lima School of Medical Massage (located in the Apollo Career Center), and the Northern Kentucky School of Medical Massage (located in the Shoppes of Burlington).

Mission
We are a private, professional school, with the primary objective of training career-oriented students to obtain licensure in the State of Ohio as a licensed massage therapist. We also provide a continuing education to the licensed practitioner.

Philosophy
Our goals are to professionally educate the student in the field of massage therapy to enter the health profession, to promote critical thinking skills, and to impress upon the student an acute awareness of the medical benefits of massage therapy.

Admission Requirements
What we look for in an applicant:

Possess a high school degree, or equivalent G.E.D. certificate.
A strong desire to succeed.

Coursework
A student must complete:

603.5 hours of instruction
301.5 hours of Anatomy / Physiology
301.5 hours of Massage Instruction
A minimum of 8 hours of instruction per week
Complete an approved CPR course and have a current CPR card at the time of graduation
Numerous one-hour massages in the student massage clinic
Training in medical massage ethics, basic business practices and styles of patient approaches.

Our typical program runs 18 months and students are in the classroom either two nights per week for 4.5 hours each night or one all-day session per week.

Student Massage Clinic
We believe that students must consistently practice what they learn in the classroom. In each of our /locations, we have opened a student clinic, where our students benefit by working on their techniques in a professional atmosphere under the close supervision of a licensed massage therapist.
