Atlanta School of Massage
Named a 2004 School of Distinction by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT), Atlanta School of Massage has been an international leader in massage therapy education for over 25 years. Of the many massage schools operating in Georgia, we earned the honor of being the first authorized by the US Department of Education to offer Title IV funding and the first massage school in Georgia to receive accreditation by the ACCSCT. After 25 years we are still privately owned and operated and have maintained a caring family atmosphere. We are dedicated to the advancement of the field of Massage Therapy as demonstrated by our research with the Neurology Department at Emory University on the beneficial effects of Neuromuscular Therapy on patients with Parkinson's disease.
Atlanta School of Massage has been accredited by ACCSCT since 1988, and has achieved re-accreditation for the maximum five-year terms since then, most recently in July 2003. Accreditation by IMSTAC was first achieved in November 1999 for the maximum five-year term. IMSTAC re-accreditation occurred in November, 2003. Atlanta School of Massage is also certified by the State of Georgia's Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (NPEC).
Our Teachers
Since 1980, our faculty and staff members have participated in a shared mission - to provide superior massage therapy education in a supportive environment. We have a long-standing, reliable, proven, and consistent commitment to excellence. Our faculty is comprised of highly skilled, experienced professionals who are committed to the success of their students. The massage instructors, all certified practicing massage therapists, undergo a rigorous teacher-training program and on-going refresher courses. There is no substitute for experience. We are one of the few massage schools in the nation that invests in the expertise provided by a full-time teaching body. Many of our instructors have offered their expert guidance to our students for more than a decade.

We offer a 750-hour day or evening certification program:
At the core of our Massage Therapy program is a commitment to a holistic, integrated approach to massage therapy. The program consists of Foundation Courses that combine the scientific knowledge of the body, a variety of massage techniques, communication skills and business practices to create an optimally effective massage therapist. A Clinical Practicum Course gives you invaluable supervised experience providing massage services to the public. Unlike many massage therapy schools, we understand that it is not just knowing massage technique which creates an effective and successful massage therapist, we teach you a client-centered philosophy. You learn how to interview, assess and treat each client to create a unique treatment experience, every session, every time.
