Massage Therapy Program Educational Objectives
Demonstrate competency in a variety of modalities including Western Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger-Point, Chair Massage, Sports and Remedial Massage, Myofascial Release and some Accupressure
Integrate massage techniques with effective client communications and proper boundary setting
Define the eleven major systems of the human body, in addition to the craniosacral system
Apply principles of non-Western bodywork theories and therapies
Apply the principles of First Aid/CPR
Know and apply the National Certification Board Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Code of Ethics and Professional Standards
Apply good business practices and clientele development
Use palpation and visual clues to assess clients
